My name is Richie Escovedo. I’m a school PR guy and freelance communicator in North Texas.

As this is the blog’s “About” page maybe I should tell you a bit about myself.

I am currently employed with Mansfield ISD as the school district’s Webmaster/Communications Specialist. I am a member of the Texas School Public Relations Association as well as the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA. My freelance work consists of mainly web/graphic design for area non-profit clients with the occasional for-profit company.

I love what I do, but it’s not who I am.

Who I am the dedicated father of (now) two beautiful children and married to a wonderful woman who puts up with way too much to make up for on a regular basis. Fortunately for me she works in a similar capacity at another North Texas school district. We’ve actually been called a “PIO power couple” by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (just proving that newspapers will print just about anything during slow news-cycles over the holidays.)

I am sure I’ll think of some other things later, but this is a good start.
